Leadership Evergreen, established in 1996, is a dynamic nonprofit committed to shaping the future of our mountain communities by cultivating informed, engaged leaders. The program offers participants meaningful opportunities to learn from and collaborate with local leaders, gain a deep understanding of regional dynamics, and strengthen their leadership skills to address real issues impacting the community. Through a blend of education, engagement, and hands-on experience, Leadership Evergreen broadens community awareness and supports personal and professional growth. Graduates are encouraged to stay proactive and apply their skills to benefit the places they call home. Guided by a dedicated Board of Directors and supported by an Advisory Board, this small but mighty organization has been the quiet force behind many impactful local projects, inspiring class after class to lead with purpose and passion.

John Ellis Memorial Sculpture
Leadership Evergreen has the goal of raising $1,000 from Leadership Evergreen to support the Sculpture “Fly” memorializing John Ellis.
The “Fly” sculpture, chosen for this year’s Sculpture Walk, quickly sparked an idea to honor John Ellis, a passionate fly fisherman who taught many how to fish. Sara Miller, CAE’s Executive Director, initiated the idea, and Cory at EPRD readily agreed. This tribute has since gained significant support, with EPRD (where John served on the Board), the Chamber (where he was an Ambassador), LE (Board & Advisory Board member), Evergreen Metro District (long-serving Board member), Trout Unlimited (Board member), and History Evergreen are all interested in purchasing the sculpture as a permanent memorial. We also extend our gratitude to the sculptor for generously assisting his time and art to making this donation possible.
To qualify for a tax letter, contributions should be made to Active 4 All, which is the EPRD 501c3, and mailed to 1521 Bergen Parkway, Evergreen 80439. Include both “Fly Sculpture” as well as “Leadership Evergreen” on the memo line so they know where the funds should be applied.
