John Ellis Service Fund

John was deeply committed to enhancing the quality of life in the Evergreen area and was affectionately known by many as the “Mayor of Evergreen.” He loved everything about this community and dedicated countless hours to making it a vibrant, welcoming place to live. John was actively involved in Leadership Evergreen, Rotary, and numerous other local efforts—always putting service above self.

To honor his unwavering dedication and love for Evergreen, this fund was created to support the projects and ideals John would have championed. Every other year, the current class of Leadership Evergreen will select a service project inspired by John’s legacy, using this fund to bring it to life. Each class will carry forward John’s passion by supporting local non-profits and initiatives that improve our community—ensuring his spirit of service continues to thrive.
